Changing Service Features on CommsMobile 2.0 Plans
Overview
The Features tab in the Comms Portal (Service > Features) is now self-service for CommsMobile 2.0 plans, matching 1.0. Partners can enable, disable, and configure features such as Call Forwarding, Voicemail, Message2Text, and Call Barring directly from the portal, a support request is no longer required to make these changes.
Steps to Change a Feature
- Log in to Comms Portal
- Navigate to Services > [select the mobile service] > Features Tab
- Locate the feature you want to change in the feature list (e.g. Voicemail, GCFU, Message2Text, Call Barring)
- Toggle the switch on the right of the row to On or Off
- If the feature has a settings icon (slider icon) on its row, such as Call Forwarding, click it to open the configuration popup and enter the required details (e.g. destination MSISDN), then click Update
- Allow a few minutes, then check the Activity Tab to confirm the order status shows Completed
For step-by-step guidance on each Call Forwarding type (Unconditional, Busy, No Reply, Not Reachable), see the dedicated Call Forwarding guides linked in Key Notes below.
⚠️ Voicemail & Message2Text Cannot Both Be On
Important: Voicemail and Message2Text cannot run at the same time on a service. Voicemail is enabled at the network level by default when a service is created. Message2Text is not enabled by default. If a partner wants to turn on Message2Text for a customer, they must first disable Voicemail in the Features tab, otherwise Message2Text will not work correctly.
