GSM Call Forwarding No Reply – Change Timer
Published:
Overview
This guide explains how to increase the ring time (in seconds) before a call is forwarded when No Reply (GCFNY) is configured. 10 seconds is both the default on activation and the minimum — the timer can be raised up to 30 seconds, but cannot be set below 10. This is available as self-service in the Comms Portal for both CommsMobile 1.0 and 2.0 services.
Steps to Update No Reply Timer
- Go to Service > Call Forwarding tab
- Locate the When you don't answer row
- Use the ring timer dropdown next to the number field to select your required duration, between 10–30 seconds
- Click Save forwarding at the bottom of the page — it appears once you've made a change
⚠ Do not change the number field while updating the timer. Only use the ring timer dropdown — changing the number field here will alter the forwarding destination.
Post-Change Validation
- Allow a few minutes for the change to process
- Go to Activity Tab
- Confirm the order status is Completed
