How to Upgrade or Downgrade a Plan

This video demonstrates how partners can upgrade or downgrade an existing customer’s plan directly from the CommsMobile Partner Portal. The process allows quick plan adjustments without needing to deactivate or reprovision the service.


What’s Covered

  • Navigating to Services from the left-hand menu
  • Locating the active service to modify
  • Accessing the Advanced tab on the service details page
  • Using the Change Plan option to:
  • Upgrade to a higher-tier plan (e.g., Small → XL)
  • Downgrade to a lower-tier plan if the customer requests it
  • Reviewing plan options before confirming the change
  • Understanding data bank behavior:
  • Upgrading: Data bank remains intact
  • Downgrading: Existing data bank will be cleared

Key Notes for Partners

  • Plan changes are applied to the current billing cycle and reflected in the next invoice.
  • Always confirm with the customer before downgrading, as stored data will be lost.
  • The Change Plan feature is only available for active postpaid services.
  • For any issues or failed plan updates, submit a ticket through the Support Desk.
