Telstra 5G Plan Refresh – October 2026 Changes to Your CommsMobile Plan

From 21 October 2026, Telstra Wholesale is refreshing a number of 5G mobile plans. This is the first of three phases and affects several CommsMobile Stand Alone plans — here's what's changing and what it means for you.
What's Changing
- Check if your plan is grandfathered. The following CommsMobile Stand Alone plans are grandfathered from 21 October 2026 — no new activations, but if you're already on one of these, nothing changes for you right now:
- CommsMobile 2.0 Stand Alone Voice & Data – 10GB
- CommsMobile 2.0 Stand Alone Voice & Data – 15GB
- CommsMobile 2.0 Stand Alone Data Only – 15GB
- CommsMobile 2.0 Stand Alone Voice & Data – 29GB
- CommsMobile 2.0 Stand Alone Data Only – 29GB
- CommsMobile 2.0 Stand Alone Data Only – 400GB
- Check if your plan is upgrading. If you're on CommsMobile 2.0 Stand Alone Voice & Data – 40GB, your plan is increasing to 45GB with a price adjustment. New activations get the new rate from 21 October; existing customers see the change from their 28 October bill cycle.
- Note what isn't changing. Pooling plans (Voice & Data and Data Only) are not affected in this phase — any changes to Pooling plans are expected in December 2026, and we'll notify you ahead of that separately.
