Step 8 - Public Activation Links - Migration Guide
Published:
Overview
Generate Guest Activation Link creates a public, expiring link that lets a customer port an available service themselves without signing up for a portal account.
Steps to Use Public Activation Links
- On any available, not-yet-activated service, click the link icon — Generate Guest Activation Link.
- Note that the generated link is public and expires after seven days.
- Confirm or change who the link is addressed to. It defaults to whoever is linked to the service.
- Click Copy Link to send it manually, or click Send Email to have it emailed directly.
- When the customer opens the link, the plan configured by the partner is pre-selected and locked — the customer cannot change it.
- Note that pre-filled details, such as service type and account number, are also locked and cannot be edited by the customer.
- The customer selects their SIM type — eSIM, or Physical SIM with a valid 13-digit SIM number.
- The customer sends themselves a verification code and enters the OTP to confirm.
- Once confirmed, the porting order is placed immediately with no manual action required.
- Note that this tool is not limited to migrations — it works for any available service whenever a customer needs to self-service a port.
- Click Save to Draft or Publish to Production.
