How to Give a Customer User Restricted Access in the Comms Portal

Overview
Partners can give a user within a customer company restricted access through the Comms Portal. This lets that user log in and manage their company's services without seeing other customers in the partner account.
Steps to Give Restricted Access to a Company User
- Log in to the Comms Portal and select Customers from the left navigation.
- Find the company in the list. Use the Filters panel to search by name if needed.
- Click into the company record and open the General tab.
- Scroll down to the User Management section.
- If the user does not yet exist, click Add User and complete the form. If the user already exists, locate them in the list.
- Click Edit next to the user.
- Change the role from non-admin to admin, then click Update User. A success confirmation will appear.
- Scroll back down to the user in the list — with the admin role now applied, a Restricted toggle will be visible next to their name.
- Enable the Restricted toggle. The system confirms the change, and the user is now a Restricted Admin for that company.
To verify, sign in with the restricted user's credentials. They will have access to the company's services and will be able to:
- View the Usage tab — calls, data, and SMS history
- View the Activity tab — order and provisioning history
- Access the Advanced tab — including the ability to gift data between services
Click Save to Draft or Publish to Production.
