AAPT DNS Server Migration - Update Your Static DNS Settings

Published:

Overview

AAPT has migrated to a new geographically redundant DNS cluster. Most services updated automatically, but customers with statically configured DNS entries need to update their settings manually before the old servers are decommissioned on 31 August 2026.

Do You Need to Act?

Connection TypeAction Required
DHCP (automatic IP config)No - updated automatically in September 2025
PPPoE / NWB sessionsNo - updated automatically on next reconnect
Static DNS (manually entered DNS addresses)Yes - manual update required before 31 August 2026

If you are unsure whether a customer has static DNS configured, check the router or CPE admin interface under the WAN or DNS settings page.
