1300 Comms Portal — Assigning a Flow to a Number

Overview

This guide explains how to link a static number to a call flow in the Fone Dynamics Portal, so that incoming calls on that number are routed through the configured flow.


Steps to Assign a Flow to a Number

  1. Log in to the 1300 Comms Portal.
  2. Navigate to Phone Numbers in the sidebar, then select Static Numbers.
  3. Locate the number you want to configure — use the search field if you have a large number of entries.
  4. Click Edit on the relevant number.
  5. Within the edit screen, configure the answering point for the number — there are two options:
    • Direct Answer Point — forward the call directly to a destination number
    • Flow — route the call through a pre-configured call flow
  6. Select Flow and click the dropdown that appears.
  7. Select the appropriate flow from the list of available flows (e.g. Postcode Routing).
  8. Click Save.
    • Incoming calls on this number will now be routed through the selected flow.

Item Details
Static Numbers All number configuration is managed under Phone Numbers → Static Numbers
Direct Answer Point Routes the call straight to a destination number without passing through a flow
Flow Option Routes the call through a fully configured call flow — recommended for complex routing logic
Flow Dropdown Only flows that have already been created in the Flow Designer will appear in the dropdown
Flow Behaviour Once assigned, calls follow the full logic of the selected flow — including any routing, conditions, or hangup rules defined within it
Reassigning A number’s flow assignment can be updated at any time by returning to Edit and selecting a different flow
