1300 Comms Portal — Setting Up a Holiday Date Node
Published:
Overview
This guide explains how to configure a date-based routing node in the Fone Dynamics Portal Flow Designer, allowing calls to be routed to a different destination on a specific date such as a public holiday.
Steps to Set Up a Holiday Date Node
- Log in to the 1300 Comms Portal.
- Navigate to the Flow Designer and open the relevant call flow.
- Locate the Date action in the actions panel.
- Drag the Date action onto the canvas and position it within the flow where the holiday routing should occur.
- Click on the Date action to configure it.
- Enter the specific date you want this condition to apply to (e.g. a public holiday date).
- Set the Start Time and End Time for the condition on that date (e.g. 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM).
- Add additional time conditions to the same date node if required.
- Select the appropriate Time Zone for the organisation.
- Click Save.
- Configure the two routing paths the date node creates:
- Condition Met — the call arrives on the specified date and time; route this path to the holiday destination or greeting
- Condition Not Met — the call does not match the date condition; route this path as per the normal call flow
- Click Save to save the flow, then click Publish to make the flow live.
