1300 Comms Portal — Setting Up a Time Condition
Published:
Overview
This guide explains how to configure a time condition (working hours) within the 1300 Comms Portal Flow Designer, routing calls differently depending on whether they arrive within or outside of defined business hours.
Steps to Set Up a Time Condition
- Log in to the 1300 Comms Portal.
- Navigate to the Flow Designer and open the relevant call flow.
- Locate the Times & Day action in the actions panel.
- Drag the Times & Day action onto the canvas and place it into the flow.
- Click on the Times & Day action to configure it.
- Set the Start Time and End Time for the condition (e.g. 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM).
- Select the Days the condition should be active on (e.g. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday).
- Click More Options and select the appropriate Time Zone for the organisation.
- Click Save.
- Configure the two routing paths that the time condition creates:
- Condition Met — the call is within business hours; connect this path to the Play greeting and then the Call answering point
- Condition Not Met — the call is outside business hours; this path will hang up the call by default, or you can attach an after-hours greeting or alternative routing action
- Click Save to save the flow, then click Publish to make the flow live.
